Noom is one of the hottest diet apps on the planet, but is it worth the price?

We’d say yes, if it checks all of the boxes for what you’re looking for in terms of an all-around health and wellness app. It’s actually one of the more affordable options out there in terms of all of the features you get access to once you sign up.

Below we’ll detail all of the costs involved with the Noom Diet App, as well as their new wellness option called Noom Mood.

Here’s exactly how much Noom costs should you decide to become a member:

Updated Noom Pricing Plans for [todaysdate format=”Y”]

When you head to Noom’s website, you’ll be asked to complete a brief survey before they show you how much their program costs. This allows them to get a better idea of how they’ll be able to reach your health goals. It takes just a few minutes to complete, and then you’ll have to opportunity to pick the best pricing option for you.

They do offer a 7-day free trial, which will then automatically enroll you in the plan of your choice if you don’t cancel your subscription before the trial period ends. If you just want to try their app out, be sure to set a reminder so you can be sure to cancel your subscription before being billed.

Noom offers several options to pick from when selecting your membership. You can save money on your subscription by committing to more time up front and here’s how much Noom is going to cost after the free trial:

  • 1 Month: $60 per Month
  • 2 Months: $99 or $49.50 per Month
  • 3 Months: $129 or $43 per Month
  • 4 Months: $139 or $34.75 per Month
  • 5 Months: $149 or $29.80 per Month
  • 6 Months: $159 or $26.50 per Month
  • 7 Months: $169 or $24.14 per Month
  • 12 Months: $199 or $16.58 per Month

If you want to get the best deal on Noom, then their annual plan is the way to go. If you want to save some money, but don’t want to commit to a full year then their 5 or 6 month plan may be the way to go. All plans will auto-renew until you decide to cancel, so keep that in mind when joining:

How Much Does 1 Year of Noom Cost?

calculating the cost for an annual plan

We shared these numbers above, but if you pay for the entire year up front, a year of Noom costs $199, which pencils out to about $16.50 per month. That’s the best deal you can get on their program.

If you were to opt for their monthly plan, which costs $60 per month, you’d pay $720 if paid month-to-month for an entire year. If you opted to pay in 6 month installments and stayed on Noom for a year, you’d be looking at about $320 for the year.

So as you can see, if you plan on staying on Noom for an entire year, paying up front is the way to go.

Noom Will Suggest the Number of Months It Should Take to Reach Your Goals

When you fill out your survey and give Noom an idea of how much weight you want to lose, they will suggest how many months it should take to reach your goals. This will help give an idea of how many months you might want to sign up for.

If you only 5 or 10 pounds to lose then the 1 or 2 month plans might be a good option for you.

If you have a significant amount of weight to lose, then it may be worth the investment to pay for one of their longer plans so you can save a good chunk on your monthly cost.

Either way, you should have a pretty good idea of how many months it’s going to take to reach your goal before deciding which plan is best for you.

How Much Does Noom Mood Cost

While Noom is best known for their weight loss coaching program, they recently launched app that is more geared towards mental health called Noom Mood. Some people decide to use Noom for weight loss and their Noom Mood app at the same time, but that will be up to.

Here’s a quick pricing breakdown for Noom Mood:

  • $149 Every 4-Months (Will auto-bill until you cancel)
  • Pencils out to about $37 per Month

At last check Noom was offering a free two-week trial for Noom Mood – get the details at their website.

So is it Worth Paying for Noom?

Ultimately that will up to you to decide. From my personal perspective, I would say that yes, Noom is worth the price. You have to consider all of the tools that you get access to once you’re a paid member:

  • 1-0n-1 Weight Loss Coaching
  • Calorie Tracker
  • Food Logging
  • Exercise Logging
  • Massive Noom Food List and Database to Help with Meal Planning
  • Customized 16-Week Program to Help You Reach Your Goals
  • Daily Articles on Health, Wellness, Nutrition and Exercise
  • and probably some other things that I am forggetting

While there are some free apps out there that can help with calorie counting or food logging, if you’re really serious about losing weight and/or improving your health you’ll most likely have to pay for a service with proven results.

Noom checks all of those boxes, and just the weight loss coaching alone is worth the cost of the program in my opinion.
